Hypothesis: The Fairy & the Fate of the Elves
The strongest surviving theory does not treat the Fairy Queen as an immortal monarch. It treats her as the last elven priestess, preserved in the Separation Node after her people dissolved into nature and memory.
The Priestess Who Outlived an Age
The hypothesis begins by refusing a simple question: if the elves vanished, why did their Queen survive? Its first answer is that she was never a queen in the ordinary dynastic sense. Elves and dwarves are described as the operative peoples of two older divine principles. Apollo's elves held harmony through living networks of light, weather, ice and forest. Cybele's dwarves held matter through machines, formulas and structural supports. When the divine order changed, both peoples lost the Function that had justified their age. Elves dissolved into the environments they once commanded; dwarves remained as mechanisms that continued to work after their makers were gone.
The Fairy is the exception because the source hypothesis makes her a priestess at the point of transition. She preserves the memory of the older, undistorted triad after human religion turns it into the later Triumvirate. Her body is said to have slept in ice like the sarcophagus of an age, while her continuity remained attached to the Separation Node. At the Node, the magics of the three primordial powers had crossed. The theory calls that attachment a key: she was not simply hidden from death, but anchored to the one surviving mechanism that still remembered how the old cosmology fit together.
That distinction also reverses the usual story of the Golden Order. The hypothesis says the Fairy slept through three human eras because the Node itself was dead. Only when human greed reached sufficient intensity did souls and acquisitive desire leave a new ripple at the Edge. The Node stirred for the first time since the catastrophe and drew its old priestess back from within itself. On this account the Fairy is not a product of the Golden Order. Her return comes first.
The Order then becomes her instrument. Human hunters turn killing into ritual; greed becomes the condition that changes monster blood into gold; gold becomes a bridge between monsters, citizens and the awakening Machine. The Fairy does not restore the elves as they were. She takes the human vice that reactivated the Node and organizes it into a new liturgy. That is why the theory ends with a more radical claim than survival: the last priestess of a dead people intends to use human avarice to enter the cosmology as a new divine force. The archive preserves this as a hypothesis, not a settled biography of the Fairy Queen.
